Knitting lab also has state of the art technology of all knitting operations. Starting from basic single knit machines like interlock and single jersey, it covers complete range of double knit machines like fleece knitting, rib knitting and mini jacquard machine. These machines help the students understand the mechanics and operations of all varieties and structures of fabrics like, single knit, double knit, jersey, pique, rib and fleece.

The machines in PKTI are of SSANGYOUNG brand which are made in Korea. These machines are quite similar to Fukuhara brand machines which is Japanese brand.

PKTI has a fully equipped stitching lab covering complete range of machinery required for the training of all kind of knitted and woven garments. Students get their hands on experience on every type of machine. All machines are imported with complete accessories to impart knowledge, not only of basic operations of sewing but also of complete procedure of maintaining mechanical maneuvers of the machines.

Stitching machinery ranges from single needle lock stitch machine to double needle, over lock, flat lock, waist belt, feed off arm, bar tack and button machine etc. alongwith a complete pressing section having a steam and electric boiler with irons.

Cutting lab in PKTI also has state of the art domestic and industrial cutting equipment. Graduate trainees from PKTI are absorbed easily in the market as they have exposure of all industrial equipment before coming to industry.

The Institute has an up-to-date computer laboratory with the facility of Computer Aided Design (CAD). The laboratory has 25 computers with Windows Networking environment. The lab is equipped with networking and multimedia facilities. Internet facility is also available for students and faculty at no additional cost.

Students have access to the latest multimedia and interactive software and are encouraged to enhance and upgrade their computer skills.

The Dyeing and the Printing lab are well equipped with some of the most modern equipment.  The facility of lab dipping is also available. The printing facility includes Exposing, Color mixing. Other facilities included are chemical testing, Quality testing, Fiber testing, and Yarn Testing Facility.

Quality Control and Assurance lab provides the opportunity to trainees to learn about quality practices and parameters of industry. The laboratory provides an innovative learning environment inspiring and preparing trainees for the challenges and versatility of fabrication in the export oriented industry. Quality Assurance Lab also offers specialist training short courses as well as new areas of support for research and diploma program students.

A modern library is located in the academic complex. It has been designed to house more than 20,000 volumes. The library adds appropriate new titles and updates its collection regularly to make available the latest resource material for the students and faculty. Its comprehensive collection underpins the teaching and learning programs to faculty and students.

It has a collection of more than 500 books available on all major technical topics especially knitting, weaving, stitching, pattern drafting, quality control, garment manufacturing etc. and off course on other important topics like management, communications and general knowledge. It has also access to more than 40,000 online books through HEC E-library. It is also subscribing 15 national and international journals.

PKTI offers a variety of rental properties from modern high-rises to elegant apartments. An excellent public transportation network makes it possible for students to live in other sections of Lahore. Information is available from the office. In some programs PKTI also offers hostel facilities to its trainees.
